FUNBOY Black Swan Pool Float

After spotting her beautiful photos and killer style on Instagram, we were lucky enough to catch-up with Lindsey Higa, creator of the Pineapple Ice blog and Instagram, on our recent trip to Waikiki. She's as cute as she is bubbly and we couldn't get enough of her and her adorable photographer boyfriend, Desmond Centro.  Find out her favorite place on Oahu and her tips for taking a killer Instagram photo below.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, which I am very lucky to call my home. Since I was little, I've always been into fashion, but living in San Francisco for 6 years definitely helped my style develop and blossom into what it is today. Pineapple Ice was born almost 5 years ago after wanting to share with others not only my
passion, the uniqueness of style in somewhere season-less like Hawaii. It has grown so much not only as a fashion blog, but a lifestyle blog as well, showcasing the beauty of living here and all it has to offer.

What are your tips for taking a great Instagram photo?
I'm alway on the lookout for a good photo. Being constantly aware and able to capture some of life's perfect moments is what it's all about.

Who is your Instagram crush?
Currently my crush is definitely Christina Paik. A friend of mine recently introduced me to her Instagram, and I'm a huge fan of her effortlessly cool style, and her amazing photography.

Paiko Oahu
Paiko, Oahu HI

What's your favorite place on Oahu for good vibes?
Oahu's botanical boutique, Paiko Hawaii, is definitely my go-to for good vibes. It's one of the most beautiful spaces I've ever seen, filled with a large selection of local flowers, plants, and succulents. Whenever I'm there I always tell the owners, "I'm moving in!"

If you were stranded on a desert island, what would you bring with you?
I would probably bring my sister. Because I'm such a social butterfly, I'd probably go crazy being alone and having company would definitely save my soul!

If you could be a FUNBOY float, which one would you be and why?
I'd definitely be the pink flamingo to match my personality. The brighter the better!
