Social & Paid Media Content Manager


Overview:

FUNBOY is searching for a creative individual experienced in all social platforms and paid media marketing to join our team. This role will lead strategy, content creation and deployment of assets across social channels and company channels.You will be responsible forrepresenting our brand on social media and managing the brand's public facing voice and visuals.

The ideal candidate has their pulse on pop culture, social trends and is go-getter. You will work directly with the founding team to define and bring to life the visual identity of the brand. This person should bring existing connections with content creators, photographers and videographers into the FUNBOY ecosystem. Flexibility and willingness to adapt strategy based on social and paid media performance is key. FUNBOY is looking for an organized individual capable of improving brand awareness and increasing marketing/sales efforts through all social platforms.

Core Responsibilities

Social Strategy 

  • Develop strategy and identify performance metrics to monitor and improve effectiveness.
  • Create a social calendar and schedule all posts across social channels. 
  • Follow trends on IG and TikTok and create relevant content to engage audiences.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute go-to-market strategies for product launches, activations and promotions. 
  • Come up with creative and FUN ways to grow our community.
  • Foster and build our community of customers, influencers and partners on all social media platforms. 
  •  Identify opportunities for gifted and paid influencer campaigns.
  • Proficient in all things social.

 

Content Creation 

  • Work with the Creative Director to develop visual identity specific to platforms.
  • Work with Creative Director to create moodboards, source locations and develop content strategy within overall budget to deliver content specific to all web, social and partner needs. 
  • Ideate, capture, and edit social content as needed.
  • Schedule and manage on-set product photography and lifestyle photoshoots. 
  • Comfortable with on camera work (ex. Showing the features of a product). 

 

Paid Media Content 

  • Work closely with the paid media team to provide the necessary visual assets to support product launches, promotions and all media strategies.
  • Manage the post-production of assets, ensuring final deliverables are met by photographers and video editors.
  • Bring to the table a strong foundational understanding of video editing to edit videos in real time based on ad performance and feedback from the paid media team. 
  • Review creative performance and help identify opportunities for testing assets / strategic adjustments to optimize engagement. 
  • Ability to speak directly to the camera for greenscreen style ads and record voice overs for ads that require narration. 

 

Visual Management 

  • Review and select photos from shoots, ensuring all campaign objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with the retail team to provide all asset requests in the correct format. 
  • Organize and manage all content for easy access and distribution. 
  • Utilize the adobe suite for any graphic design needs tailored to social, web and retail partners. 
  • Collaborate with team members on pitch decks, design reviews, creative mock-ups etc.

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in design or content creation.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media.
  • Avid use of social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
  • Experience with video editing software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Outgoing personality, comfortable with leading calls, being on camera and enthusiastic about content creation.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
